  • Always verify OEM part number and physical dimensions (gear OD, tooth count, mount hole spacing and DE housing) before purchase.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing or installing the starter.
  • Inspect flywheel/flexplate teeth and starter mounting flange prior to installation; replace if damaged.
